Titan of Douro Reserva Rosé

Creamy shell salmon pink. Made from vines planted at over 600m. Intense, sweet, smoky, toasty oak on the nose with white waxy florals. On the palate oak is still evident, alongside lovely intense strawberry fruit and white peaches. Concentrated power without being fruity, with long, almost searing, acidity creating a fresh and vibrant mouthwatering bite. Stony minerality and just so much vibrant power that goes on and on. Rufete, Mourisco Tinto

Fresh grapes at their perfect point of ripeness are hand-picked and placed in 20 kg boxes for transport to the winery where they undergo careful manual selection. Entire grape clusters are pressed in a pneumatic press and the resulting must is transferred to French oak casks (50% of them new) where it ferments at a controlled temperature of 12ºC for 30 days, at the end of which it is aged for 6 months with stirring of the fine lees (bâtonnage).
