Deep garnet. Super-fresh but also more complex thanks to some oak influence and polish. Creamy, smooth chocolate notes on the palate but still the vibrant dark-red fruit and freshness of high-elevation old-vine vineyards. Deep, long, fresh. Dry and extremely fine tannins. Elegant and long. May well age longer than this but no need to delay this pleasure. (JH) 14.4% Drink 2022-2027 17/20 https://www.jancisrobinson.com/

Wine Making
Sourced from different field blend bush vine parcels averaging 60 years’ old at around 600m altitude. The soils are a mix of granite and schist, the former accentuating freshness, the latter muscle. Handpicked, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks, then aged for 14 months in used Allier French oak barrels.
