Douro

Churchill’s is a boutique producer of premium Port and Douro wines founded in 1981 by master blender Johnny Graham, who represents the fifth generation of his family to make wine in the Douro Valley. While the Churchill’s name is big, Churchill’s is still founder-led and we are a team of just 45 people producing 50,000 handcrafted cases each year, guided by Johnny’s founding desire to use top-quality grapes and simple methods to make distinctly elegant port and Douro wine.

Quinta da Gricha is Churchill’s home in the Douro – a 50-hectare property located in the Cima Corgo, with Grade-A vineyards and granite lagares in which port has been tread by foot since 1852. Named for the natural spring (“gricha”) that feeds the north-facing vineyards, our oldest vines are over 80 years old.
