Predominantly Merlot and Syrah with around 10% Saborinho (a.k.a. Tinta Negra) and 10% of Arinto dos Açores

Sourced from vineyards closer to the cloud-covered mountain (where it is difficult for red grapes fully to ripen) which lend themselves perfectly to the production of this light red clarete (or, with 10% of Arinto dos Açores, is it a palhete?) Very lightly extracted, whole bunches undergo a semi-carbonic maceration for around 12 days and are pressed before the end of fermentation.

Serve lightly chilled 10-13°C
